On This Day ..... In Local History

Picture
Noosa Museum in it's previous incarnation as Noosa Council Chambers and as it looks today.
The Gympie Times, January 12, 1878.

On this day in 1878 The Gympie Times ran a story about Cobb & Co Coaches first trip to Newsa, via a new route.

Written by one of the passengers it gives a real 'bird's eye' view from the vantage of the luggage rack atop one of the newer coaches.

An engaging tale that will take the reader back to a time of great new adventure.

For this and many other wonderful stories and artifacts from our past plan a visit to Noosa Museum.

Thanks to Roy Harbour for finding this in The Researcher No 31 Dated April 1999.
